What we do

What we do with a Chamberlain

A technician checking a full-view garage door hanging off its track

Gears and sprockets, logic boards, travel and force settings, photo-eyes, rails, remotes and keypads, myQ pairing — and a full replacement when the unit is genuinely finished.

The door comes first here too. We disconnect the opener and lift the door by hand to see what the springs are actually carrying, because that one check decides whether you are looking at an opener job or a door job.

What this usually turns out to be

One thing worth knowing about a Chamberlain

An older opener may be a Chamberlain wearing another name

Chamberlain Group’s support site also covers openers it built for other brands to sell, hardware-store names among them. An unfamiliar name on the motor unit does not mean nobody makes parts for it. Read on the manufacturer’s own site, .

If nobody seems to make parts for your opener any more, look its model number up on that site before anyone tells you the whole unit has to come down. Plenty of openers people believe are orphaned are not.

LiftMaster, Chamberlain and myQ support at Chamberlain Group — the manufacturer’s own site, opens in a new tab.

Before you call

Where the label is.

On the motor unit’s side or end panel, on a label with the model number and the manufacture date. The same support site holds a model-number locator and the manual for each one, including the openers sold under other names.

Two warranties, not one

Ours covers our work.

Our 5-Year Warranty on All Parts & Labor covers what we fit and what we do. Five years on parts and labor, every repair and every install. The manufacturer’s own warranty on the door or the opener is a separate document between you and them — their support site is linked on this page, and we don’t speak for it.

The safety check we do on every visit

  • Auto-reverse tested
  • Photo-eyes aligned
  • Springs and cables inspected
  • Door balanced

Describe it however makes sense to you

However you say it, that’s enough.

Tell us what the door sounded like and what it’s doing now, even if you don’t know the part name. This starts a conversation, not an appointment.

  • However you describe it is enough. No part names needed.
  • The written estimate is free. Nothing owed if you pass.
  • Nobody starts the repair until you approve the number.

Questions people ask

Straight answers.

My opener carries a hardware-store name. Can you work on it?
Bring us the model number and we will tell you. Chamberlain Group’s own support site covers openers sold under other names — Moore-O-Matic, Master Mechanic, Guardian and Ryobi among them — so an old unit is often better supported than it looks.
Does myQ have to work for the door to work?
No. The app is a convenience layer on top of an opener that already works with its own remotes and wall control. If the app is the only thing failing, that is a smaller problem than it feels like.
Do you charge to come out?
No. We look first and give you a written estimate. You approve it before any work starts, and there is no charge if you decline.
Are you connected to Chamberlain?
No. We are an independent repair and installation company in Coppell. We work on Chamberlain equipment, we don’t speak for the manufacturer or its warranty, and their own support site is linked on this page.
