Insulated garage doors and door insulation in DFW
Garage too hot to use? Cooler than it is now, in most attached garages. Not cool. Two ways to get there: insulation fitted to the door you have, or a new door built insulated, and we say which suits how you use the garage rather than sell you the upgrade.

How you use the garage decides it.
Say which way the door faces and what the garage is used for. A technician looks at the door and says which suits it.
- No model number needed. The door and how you use the garage are enough to start.
- Foam panels, reflective foil, or a door built insulated: whichever suits the garage.
In short
- Cooler than it is now, in most attached garages. Not cool.
- For the door you have: foam panels cut to fit its sections, or reflective foil, whichever suits the door.
- Or a new door built insulated, which is also quieter and takes a knock better than a single skin.
- Either way, the seal at the floor and the sides gets a look too.
Where the insulation goes
On the door you have, it is fitted to each section. A door built insulated carries it between two skins of steel.
- The door you have
- One skin, with foam panels or foil fitted to each section
- A door built insulated
- Steel, insulation, steel
Garage door and opener brands we repair
Insulate the door you have, or choose one built insulated.
For the door you already have: foam panels cut to fit its sections, or reflective foil insulation, whichever suits the door.
For a new door: an insulated door, built in layers, which also runs quieter and takes a knock better than a single skin. Either way the seal at the floor and the jambs gets a look too: it does a share of the work the door usually gets credit or blame for.

Insulation questions
Short answers first. Anything else, ask when you call.
What do you fit to a door I already have?
Foam panels, each one cut to a section of your door, or reflective foil insulation, depending on the door. Which one suits yours goes on the written estimate.
What will it cost?
It depends on the door: how many sections it has, whether foam panels or reflective foil suits it, or whether a new insulated door is the better choice.
Does insulating the garage door actually help?
In most attached garages, yes: cooler than it is now, not cool. Insulation slows heat moving through the biggest opening in the house; it does not remove the heat that is already in there.
Insulate the door I have, or buy an insulated one?
It depends on how the garage is used and on the door you have. We say which suits your garage rather than sell you the upgrade, and where both make sense, both go on the estimate side by side.
Which R-value do I need?
There is no universal answer. A section’s R-value leaves out the joints and the seals, so how the garage is used, and the seal at the floor and the jambs, matter more than the largest number.
What does the warranty cover?
Five years on parts and labor, every repair and every install. The scope is on the estimate you approve, and on the invoice.
