What we do

What we do with a LiftMaster

A technician checking a full-view garage door hanging off its track

Gears and sprockets, logic boards, travel and force settings, photo-eyes, rails, remotes and keypads — and a full replacement when the unit really is past repair.

We test the door’s balance by hand before anyone touches the opener. An opener is sized to nudge a door the springs already carry, so a new one will not lift a door the springs have stopped balancing, and fitting one to solve a spring problem is money for nothing.

What this usually turns out to be

One thing worth knowing about a LiftMaster

The learn button tells you what radio it speaks

Chamberlain Group’s own service note sorts openers by the color of the learn button and the antenna. If the button is yellow and round, the opener uses Security+ 2.0. Read on the manufacturer’s own site, .

That color is what decides which remotes and keypads can pair with your unit at all, and it is the first thing worth checking when a replacement remote refuses to program. It costs nothing to look, and it saves buying the wrong part.

LiftMaster, Chamberlain and myQ support at Chamberlain Group — the manufacturer’s own site, opens in a new tab.

Before you call

Where the label is.

On the side or the end panel of the motor unit, on a label carrying the model number and the manufacture date. Chamberlain Group publishes a model-number locator, and the manual for each model, on the support site linked on this page. Have that number when you call and the parts conversation gets much shorter.

Two warranties, not one

Ours covers our work.

Our 5-Year Warranty on All Parts & Labor covers what we fit and what we do. Five years on parts and labor, every repair and every install. The manufacturer’s own warranty on the door or the opener is a separate document between you and them — their support site is linked on this page, and we don’t speak for it.

The safety check we do on every visit

  • Auto-reverse tested
  • Photo-eyes aligned
  • Springs and cables inspected
  • Door balanced

Describe it however makes sense to you

However you say it, that’s enough.

Tell us what the door sounded like and what it’s doing now, even if you don’t know the part name. This starts a conversation, not an appointment.

  • However you describe it is enough. No part names needed.
  • The written estimate is free. Nothing owed if you pass.
  • Nobody starts the repair until you approve the number.

Questions people ask

Straight answers.

Do you fit LiftMaster parts?
Yes. We repair and replace LiftMaster openers and their parts, and exactly what goes on your door is written on the estimate before you approve it.
Is my remote broken, or is it the opener?
Usually neither. Most remotes that stop working need pairing again, and the learn button’s color decides which remotes can pair at all. We check that before anybody buys a part.
Can you keep my old opener?
If it is repairable, yes, and we will say so. Gears, boards, sensors, remotes and rails are all parts. A replacement goes on the estimate as a choice, with what it gets you.
Are you connected to LiftMaster?
No. We are an independent repair and installation company in Coppell. We work on LiftMaster equipment, we don’t speak for the manufacturer or its warranty, and their own support site is linked on this page.
