A rolling steel door is not a sectional door. Instead of hinged sections on a track, it is a single curtain of interlocking slats that rolls up onto a barrel above the opening, with the counterbalance inside that barrel and the curtain running in guides down each side.

That difference is the whole job. There are no rollers and hinges to replace; there are slats that can be bent, guides that can be packed with grit or knocked out of line, a barrel with springs inside it, and a bottom bar that has to land square for the door to seal or lock.

A sectional door is hinged sections on a track; a rolling steel door is one curtain of slats that rolls onto a barrel above the opening, with its counterbalance inside the barrel and guides down each side.
The door is jammed half open. Should we keep trying it?
